We really hope that all our families are keeping safe and well. Currently our playschemes are only open to the families who have children attending the onsite Nursery or Primary school, but we really do hope that the situation soon improves to allow us to get back all our neighbouring families.
Before lockdown so much had happened, we were Ofsted inspected on 6th January achieving the best grade possible, albeit not Outstanding as this grade does no longer exists for wraparound childcare and instead we are 'Met with no recommendations' (which is Outstanding really), we are however allowed to keep out Outstanding logo which is pleasing as we feel we really deserve to get the recognition for our hard work and commitment.
We have now an online booking and payment system, which both breakfast & after school club families are getting to grips with. All bookings have to be made via our IPAL system and the link is accessed from our website on the front page.
Our new system ensures all parents can easily view our spaces and book and pay for childcare when they need it using any device. This gives parents control of bookings and easily making sure the information we need is updated. It also means that we will be able to communicate with our families more efficiently, have electronic sign in and out for all children staff & club visitors and easily be able to view registers which flag up allergies, specific needs and daily notes from parents. Marie had spent many months researching the different systems available and we are confident that we have the best for our setting needs.
How we are providing care throughout the pandemic is very different in these current times. Children are however, being provided with the same excellent opportunities to play within their bubble groups with plenty of toys & activities that are either sanitised or quarantined after use and lots of outdoor play. Staff will be wearing visors and parents are asked to wear masks when collecting their children. A lot of hard work has gone into providing systems to keep everyone safe and our setting open inline with all the government guidelines.
As we enter autumn and approach winter we are hoping to stay open throughout these uncertain times. Therefore, we would like to thank all of our families for keeping a close eye on covid symptoms and ensuring that both children and parents do not attend if in any doubt.
October half term club has been scheduled to take place from 26th to the 30th October. We are hoping the club will go ahead and can reassure parents that if we do have to close to any particular groups then full refunds will be issued.
